Presenting When Sick

It’s cold and flu season but presentations still have to be made. Presenting when you’re sick and not at your best is a real reality. If you’ve got a professional animated presentation from a powerpoint presentation designer from Michael Hanna Design, then the pressure is off!  A well coordinated presentation created by a professional will practically speak for you. You’re still going to have to say a few words, so here are three tips on how to present while under the weather.

Sleep

Get as much sleep as you can the night before you have to present. Sleep is one of the greatest restoratives in the world. Think of sleep as medication to help you get better, and be sure to get your daily recommended allowance of seven to eight hours.

Medicine

Make sure that any medicine you take is non-drowsy. You don’t want to be falling asleep in the middle of your own animated presentation. There are many brands available over the counter that offer non-drowsy versions of their cold medication.

Fluids

Drink plenty of fluids. Just like sleep, think of water as medication as well. It will help to decongest your nose as well as your chest. As it gets closer to presentation time, switch to warm or hot tea, possibly with honey. Warm beverages will help lubricate your vocal cords so that you don’t sound like a frog croaking when you speak.

Don’t take chances during cold and flu season. Contact Michael Hanna Design for your animated presentation, now. Let a powerpoint presentation designer do most of the speaking for you when you’re down and out with the office cold. Feel free to visit our website to see what our other clients say about us.
